Dead Summer

A small band with a big sound, Dead Summer is a Canadian alt-rock duo built on hooky riffs, bombastic drums, heavy grooves and songwriting that balances vulnerability with a little bit of sass. Featuring only bass and drums, Nate Prevedoros and Michael Wilford have carved out a distinct sound built on proving just how explosive two musicians can be.

Since debuting in 2024 the band have hit major stages across Canada’s West Coast, including Phillips Backyard Weekender, Pacific FC’s Downtown Derby, and Laketown Amphitheatre (the largest ticketed event in Vancouver Island history). Along the way, they’ve shared stages with artists including Nickelback, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Glorious Sons, Two Feet, and Sam Roberts Band. Whether they’re playing packed clubs, festival stages, or your local record store, Nate and Michael bring an all or nothing energy that has earned them a reputation as a “must-see band” on the rise.

Dead Summer writes rock music that demands attention; from the powerful riffs and earworm choruses of “Sweetly” to the wild fuzzed-out urgency of “Take it or Leave it”, these songs are built for sweaty audiences, powerful sound systems, and repeat listens. Pushing the limits of what two musicians can sound like, they utilize their pop sensibility along with every tool at their disposal to create a layered and dynamic sonic experience that feels far bigger than the sum of its parts.

With their debut EP slated for release in fall 2026, Dead Summer continues to earn their place in Canada’s modern rock scene.
